Gecko ("the app") is an energy management app for iOS developed by Kin Clark Perez. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your information.
Gecko does not have a backend server, does not create user accounts, and does not send any data off your device. All information you enter is stored locally using SQLite on your iPhone.
No personal data is ever collected, sold, shared, or transmitted to us or any third party.
The following information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted anywhere:
All data is permanently deleted when you use "Reset All Data" in Settings or uninstall the app.
Gecko requests location access for the Away Mode feature, which detects when you leave home and can alert you about active devices still running.
Your location is used on-device only to compare against the home pin you set in Settings. It is never recorded, logged, or transmitted.
You can disable location access at any time in iOS Settings → Gecko → Location. Away Mode will stop working but all other app features remain fully functional.
Gecko contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services, no advertising frameworks, and no third-party tracking of any kind. There are no in-app purchases and no account system.
Gecko does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
